Could anyone tell me if it is possible to download a game from the internet and then burn it to CD. If this can be done, could you please tell me how. I have been trying for a while now and not getting anywhere.

If you are talking about purchasing the game it can be done by the creators site I suppose, just like with any other software you buy on-line. If you want to download a game for free and perhaps sell it for your own profit, this is not the place to ask about it. But maybe I'm being bad. If you want to legally buy the game go to the company's site (www.ea.com, www.eidosinteractive.com). There should be a link saying something like "download" or "purchase". You need credit card to buy games on-line.

If you buy a game online and download the installer then you should be able to burn it (the installer) to CD in the same way as any other file. If so, what are you doing and where is it going wrong (how close are you getting)?

If you're downoading games which you should be purchasing then I suggest you read the forum rules or expect to get banned for trying to use the forum for illegal purposes...

To clear this up, I "legally" bought a game and I wanted to make a backup copy in case this one gets scratched up or worn out. I should have made myself clear to start with but then I did not know that I was going to be insulted by someone implying I am trying to do something illegal. You do not have to kick me off of this site because I am done with all of you. You are not very nice.

oh, sorry, it's a misunderstanding. I didn't mean to insult you.:( Sometimes people ask this kind of stuff (about downloading for free) here and we are not in favor of illegal software. I'm a low-ranked member, not representative of others. I bet someone more experienced will be here to help you now.

lsu tigers - He simply asked this question because we get many users ask questions that relate to breaking copyright laws, and therefore cannot assist. I'm sure no offense was meant to be caused.

Then you should have been clear, with specifics, as much as possible, we are not mind readers. Your question was as vague as they come. I mean, you buy a game online, download it, then install it. To burn to CD is as easy as drag and drop. So, when you need help, please try to be as specific as possible, because thats where misunderstandings come from. With enough information, this would not have happened.
