burning movies

    im a rookie on here so please bear with me..i download movies and burn them but they will only play on divix players..but i would like them to be able to play on any player..what can i download/do to make the able to play on any dvd player..thanks in advance for any help..

    You need to re-encode them to DVD format using something like DVDFlick.

    so i just download dvd flick and go thru my normal burning process or is there something more to it

    DVDFlick has to actually re-encode the movie. It is not a quick process.

    You are starting with an avi movie? Then you have to use DVDFlick to convert the movie to DVD files. (It takes quite a while to encode) Then you burn the DVD files to disc. If under burning you choose Create ISO image then you can just burn the ISO to disc using your regular burning software after the conversion and it will be playable in any DVD player.
