burning nightmare

can anyone help re: cd-rw burning. i've used both cd-r and cd-rw on my comp. hp.winxp home edition service pack 2. nero burning suite. worked fine. bought cd's today. just getting asked to insert a blank disc. dvd-rw's work ok. any help greatly appreciated..

 

Ok.what is the problem with your cd-rw?Can't burn?Application doesn't work(Nero).Be more specific.

 

hey there. thanx 4 replying. problem is..nero express and burning rom wont burn my cd-rw's. worked before. but the tray keeps opening and message says insert disc. if i 'copy' a disc. ie: music etc it does the business but on playback it's blank. could the burner suddenly stop burning cd-rw's.

 

I've had problems with some brands of CDRW discs; never had problems with CDR discs however. Try a firmware upgrade on your burner, or trade the CDRW's for a different brand maybe....

thanx 4 that.trouble is i have tried other brands. but these are the original ones i started with that have always worked. a thought.. had a clean install done on my system. could it be that.

 

Wierd. I guess it is possible that the clean install has something to do with it; I'd check the Nero website and see if they can shed any light on it.... wierd confused
