burning w/nero

Have a file I want to burn to DVD. it is a cue extension. I click on the file and it opens Nero burning rom, burning compilation. So I select burn and it asks me to save image file. So I save and it starts burning, after its done burning, nothing is on the DVD but there is a new file, and image file. I tried again and this time I noticed a pulldown menu and I can choose cd or DVD I select DVD. Select burn and get a message "Cannot write track at correct position with this recorder" What's this about. How do I burn this file on a DVD so I can wath it on my DVD player?

 

Just guessin' here, but try to use a different DVD (a blank one). Also try to re-copy the files to nero instead of using the first ones put on.
