burning with NERO

hi, i currently am using Nero to burn my mpegs to dvd but it seems to be really slow. for example;

a 700mb mpeg just took 3 hours to convert and burn to dvd. maybe its the converting stage that is taking ages. any help as to which software i can use to make this process quicker??

A far as I know none,I use nero and it does vary from file to file often running toward the 2 hour mark for a complete 700mb file,it just takes that long to encode I do carry on using my computer while its running using an a64 4000,if you want it to finish faster you could try shutting down running proccesses,but other than that for significant improvement you may want to upgrade your cpu

what CPU do you have?

 

1.60GHz and 244mb RAM. only a cheap little laptop. thats fine, im just making sure im not taking the long way round. cheers rikky:cool
