I've got a Intel D865PERL motherboard running a 2.53 P4 with 512 of memory. The board is suppose to run at 800 on the front bus but it's only running at 133. Is there a jumper (nothing in the limited paperwork) or is it a software issue?

Setting for FSB on an Intel board will most likely be in the BIOS.

as intels run with a quad pumped bus your running at 533mhz at present... ( 133x4 )

I did a bios update and it still says 133 but if what you say is so then that equals the 533, thats what I was looking for.
The 2.53 chip is a 533 chip so 800 FSB won't happen, again as you say.
    Thanks Halo

yep exactly...... you would need a new chip rated for 800mhz to be able to use the full FSB speed of that mobo, also intel desktop boards are not noted for easy if at all overclocking.

get yourself Everest and click the motherboard section and it will give you all the info about your mobo.

    Pentium 4 A processors have 400Mhz (100Mhz x 4) front side bus speed.
