    Hi,

I've installed two apps. that place buttons in the IE 6 toolbar: Norton Firewall (which places a 'web assistant' button), and Adobe Acrobat 6 (which places a 'convert page to PDF' button). For a week or so, these worked fine, but on boot-up yesterday they disapeared!
They are not even appearing in the IE 'toolbars' menu any more.

I've re-installed everything, searched the manuals and the relative forums, but have come up blank!

    Any ideas anyone?

    Thanks in advance.

My first thought is to go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing and make sure "Enable third-party browser extensions" is checked.

Thanks a lot, that was doing my head in. I wonder how that got unchecked?

    Thanks again!
