Buy stuff online

Does anyone know a place where i can learn how to create an online store. Obviously there's security things to go with it, and all that, and thats fine. I just need to learn how to do it. I'm fine with PHP/MySQL databases, so storing info into databases is cool, but just the proper purchsing of the product and how the info would get sent to me to send the product...i thought probably use the mail() function.......but anyway....yeah......

 

Different ways to do it.
I'd do it in PHP. each item i'm selling has a unique ID. that ID is stored in the database. each user has a "shopping cart" containing the Item IDs. When you check out, simply find out what Items user is buying, add up price and display info for user. SSL2 encryption or the like will be your most obvious security choice.
I'd say built a Frame work of sorts. Your online program. then jsut add everything in. IE have a PHP program that can. Make accounts, have admin stuff for admin, way to add items, way to show items. list goes on.

 

Umm, yeah, I wasn't asking about how you would create the shopping cart or stuff like that, I can create that. What I wanted to know is, using there credit card details, transfer money from their credit card account to a bank account is achieved how?!?!

That probably sounds like I'm trying to rob people or something, but i'm not, just trying to sell shirts, cd's and tapes online. lol

You gota make a deal with a credit company or somethign that process it.
Basicly they'll charge you a fee < couple % of the transaction> and they process it and stuff
