    Hello all,

I've come here in the past and received some invaluable information on various computer related issues, so I thought I would come and see if any of you fine folk could offer me some advice on a gaming machine.

I'm currently looking at the two following models from a site here in the uk...

    http://www.ukgamingcomputers.co.uk/chaos-gaming-computer-p-131.html

    and

    http://www.ukgamingcomputers.co.uk/hex-x6-gaming-pc-p-132.html

I want to be able to play the newest games, without spending a fortune, specifically Diablo 3 when it comes out, I just never know when it comes to specs etc.

Would either of these models do? as you can see, you can make adjustments to both of them on the page also.

    Thanks in advance.

    go for an intel machine
choose for the mainboard with the z68chipset
well even if you take the

    with change on mobo
and the graphi card with the with radeon 7850 2gb
you will pay less than the fx-6100
but either way i would consider something better than a 500w psu
and by the way at which resolution you want to play
and you want to max out all the settings?
if not then even an i3 will do if compared with at least a mid range gpu
you will hit at least 30fps

Also, does it matter if a processor is not dual core or quad core? or are the single i5's better? I never got that

well as it matters in games they use usually 2 cores and a few games start to use 4 cores.
i5 has 4 physical cores when i3 has 2 cores and hyper threading
thus 4 logical cores or threads
99%of the games depent more on the gpu rather than the cpu
from the intel side the i5-2500 is consider to be the optimal for a gaming pc
going highter will pay a lot more and gain not that much.
also there is the i5-2500k which is unlocked cost a little more
consider that one only if you want to overcklock
    cpu: i5-2500
    mainboard: with the z68 chipset
memory: 2x4giga so you can use dual channel for total of 8giga
going for more memroy will not benefit the games
os:Windows 7 Professional x64 cause they have no limit on memory
gpu:a card better or 7870 with 2 giga ram
psu:something around 750 watt if you go with one gpu
1000watt if you go with dual gpu setup
if you can also buy an ssd for the os and few programs you most use
that will give pc a whole diferent feeling
you will need a normal hdd for file storage though

Thanks a lot for your help, I have done pretty much what you said when ordering the computer.
