buying new pc, which one?

I am looking to buy a pc, not sure which brand is good. All i need is minimum 1G memory, 180 GB hard drive, dvd rw, processor 2.0G. I dont do too much on it so dont need expensive one. cheaper the better. Any suggestions?

 

I wouldn't suggest any brand actually lol

Custom are far better, you choose what goes into them :-D

with those specs your looking at an older machine (or possibly a laptop). it'd probably be better if you either built one, or got a newer comp cheap. i've had good luck with hp/compaq, and gateway. but, nowdays, i'd rather build my own, and/or modify what i have. anyway, if you bought a used comp, you have to worry about how long it will last. g/l, sos

if you have an older tower, you might be able to upgrade your m/b, processor, and be able to use the ram, etc??!!

edit - also, it would help if you post what you want to use it for (ie - internet, word,excel, etc.).

Mainly i go on the internet and burn cd's. Dont really do much more than that so i dont need a large system. I have been looking at Dell or maybe a custom one. What about emachines? I dont know too much about those.
