OK, First off I'd like to say that I know nothing about RAM; I just know my computer needs more. I've been running WoW and it's stuttering a lot with my 512 RAM, so I'm thinking about getting 512 more. My question is, how do I go about doing this? I've heard that the RAM needs to match types (something about DDR or something of the sort?). How do I found out what type of RAM I need and also, where do you recommend I go to get cheap, yet functional RAM. :)

    Dell Dimension 4600
    Intel Pentium 4, 2.4 Ghz
RAM: 512 MB (PC2700 DDR SDRAM)
NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT (128 MB)
Nominally 40 GB Hard Drive (EVEREST says 39158MB)

    Hope that helps :).

a few places you could try for ram are

    www.crucial.com
    www.scan.co.uk

the crucial site has a good memory selector tool which gives a list of compatible ram for your computer, you can then pick the ram with the same speed and desired size from that :)
