ok...it might be a stupid question but what ever here it goes..

Does anyone know a better place to buy computer parts besides newegg.com...???
I am building a computer and my budget is about 700 but if I have to I would spend 800.
My goal is to have everything which includes CPU(3.0ghz presscott), Mobon (with sata), DVD Burner, 1GB of Ram (1 dim), 5.1 surround sound, a video card with 126mb of ram and if possible build in Tv Turner, a bad ass case with a power supply of 500w or more, a wireless keyboard and mouse, a 19" monitor if possible (I would be satisfy with a 17", and even thinking of a better cooler CPU fan for the processor. So what do you guys think, am I asking for to much or what..??

Well I hope anyone could help me..thanks...

P.S I know some one you might say "you forgot to mention the hdd?" Well I have a 200gb Sata Drive so I don't need to worry about buying one.

well the cpu with all that you said could be bought under 800$ (i think) but the monitor part is complicated, i think with a 17' inch monitor it will pass the 800$ limit. but hope it doesn't ;)

Go with an AMD 64 3000+ Venice core. Much cheaper and just as good... Better in my opinion. I just ordered a Fuji 19" LCD for 279 on Newegg with a $50 mail in after that. It should get here Wednesday. Mmmm, it's gonna be nice. But from my experience, Newegg has the best prices.

You can get a good case and powersupply for $100 easy, including the shipping on the case. Look at the Cooler Master cases... I have the Centurion. A TV tuner card is easy to find on Newegg as well as a lower-end video card.

www.zipzoomfly.com is good, free 2nd day shipping on all items cept PSU, monitors and cases i think.... www.tigerdirect.com and www.geeks.com are good sites.. Ill run through some sites and gather all the info up and tell you what a "general" price for those goodies would be.

My target was 700 dollars but I could go with 800 flat.

with zipzoomfly I was at $680.83
    without a monitor

with Newegg I was at $732.23
    without a monitor

the parts are almost the same
    and it includes
Intel 3.0E Presscott at 800mhz FBS
    1Gb of DDR Ram

    128mb video Card
(newegg: PNY PCFX5700APB Geforce FX5700 128MB DDR VIVO AGP 4X/8X Video Card)
    (ZipZoomFly :
    Gigabyte GV-R925128VH Radeon 9250 AGP 8X 128MB DDR Video Card w/TV-Out, DVI & VIVO)
    which one is better guys

    DVD Burner
    Wireless Mouse and Keyboard
    Logitech X-530 5.1 speakers

I found a 19" Compaq S920 CRT Color Monitor .25mm 1600x1200 Max. Resolution for 89 dollars probably refurnished, with free shipping and everything

So what do you guys think should I go for it or should i wait a while. Is there something I am missing? Well if anyone you are selling parts or kinda like this parts I mention and your interested in selling let me know. I might just buy them..thanks

I got my GigaByte card from www.xpcgear.com (fast delivery, dirt cheap price for an excellent card) http://xpcgear.com/gvr96x128d.html .... 9600XT 128MB integrated TV tuner, Dual DVI, S-video cables and such included!

    Only 79.99!!! Free Ship!

The 5700 and 9250 dont hold a candle to the 9600XT... Also, if you go with ww.zipzoomfly.com buy the PSU,Case, and monitor in a seperate order (so you get free shipping on everything else) Ive got an old monitor one of my teachers gave me, i think its 17 inches MIGHT be 19... although i doubt it.. Right now its just taking up space, we might be getting rid of it, prolly cheap, although i dont know much about it...

Oh, and dont wait!!!! Priced are JUST recovering from a major drop (still low but not as low, buy now before they rocket up again!)

The prices are usually raised weekly.. By a couple dollars.. well its more like almost $10 a week or every 2 weeks.. my ram was at an all time low of $42, but when i got more it cost me 48 D:

If your getting the stuff saturday, that might be when they pop the prices up or it might be a 2 week thing...
