Finally dumped the last of my dual boots this week when I removed 8.1 from my laptop. All four daily use systems are now fully reliant on Win 10 so it had better not let us down! Must say it's good not to have to face the monthly battle with updates. All the systems are performing well - better than at any time in the past - and if our experience is at all typical then Win 10 will before long knock Win 7 off its pedestal as the system to beat for reliability. It already has for usability in my book.

Still maintaining XP, Vista, 7 and 8.1 (and Puppy) in VMware but it's mostly sentimental as only XP is still of any use to us driving an old Epson flatbed scanner we've had for nearly 20 years :D Wonder how long before the PCs in the house become about as interesting as the dishwasher, but it's been a great privilege to have been in on the digital revolution from the beginning. The best of that is yet to come I feel sure but it won't be PC dependent.

I agree with you about the monthly updates (even for Win 10) but, I'm going to hold on to my multi-boot (on both laptops) for a while longer.
