This is not directly spy-ware related, but as a result of my attempts to prevent spyware! I have installed mozilla firefox and c-cleaner on my family pc which is about 5 years old (it came with win me but we now have xp on it). First, mozilla was running fine, but after installing and running c-cleaner, it will not load wanadoo's homepage properly - which is my mum's homepage. It seems to load all the other websites still!

Do you know what c-cleaner might have deleted to make the wanadoo home page not load? Sometimes is says 'the file / could not be fouhnd please check and try again', and other times it comes up with a specific htm file not found. Its not wanadoo, because the site works fine on internet explorer, and when i logged into my user area, it worked again, until i ran c-cleaner, when the same thing happened.

I don't know if this problem is exclusive to our pc or not as i've not tried loading wanadoo on my own pc. Can it be fixed?

    Thanks

I have mozilla firefox and ccleaner and have never had this problem.

I just opened ccleaner to check my settings to see if I could help you and noticed an update. The newest version is 1.15.078 so maybe if you uninstall what you have and install the new version...your problem may be fixed...ya never know.

What parts of CCleaner did you use?

I realized after I signed off that you said that obviously something has been deleted...

Did you open up mozilla and go to tools, internet options, and click on "general" on the left hand side and see what your home page is set to? -- I'm curious if that setting has also been changed? Does it still say your original setting? (and it's just not loading it correctly like you said?)

I know it's not answering the ultimate question like the fact that you can get to the site in IE but not mozilla, but I was wondering if it was still set as the homepage.
