C drive has got very low space

hi i got some problems with my c drive which im hoping someone can help me with, basically i have free space of 1.29gb out of 39.99gb, i have got no big programs or other things downloaded on that drive, can someone please help me.

Try TreeSize and see what's grabbing all your space. Is this 'all of a sudden'? 40GB is not a large drive anymore, just one avi movie is 0.7GB

 

i know its small, but i got a 250gb hd in tow partitions. Not sure why its lost loads of space on c drive, i will try treesize, also my os is Vista.

 

Try running 'CrapCleaner' which is free, then 'Cyberscrub' free trial http://www.cyberscrub.com/en/downloads.php then a defrag and you will be amazed at how much Junk you had on the ''C'' drive and should leave you with some extra space.

Here on MG there are a few to choose ... this one says Free but I have not tried it but at MG they would not recommend rubbish...........................

Do a Search for hiberfil.sys
It takes up as much room as the RAM fitted to your PC, if present.
