C.Ds again

    Just finished a 2m scarecrow using about 200 old CD's for our village carnival
    looking for dragon pic's for next project.
    I used to be a tech clerk but I'm alright now

    Neat sounds good Tony, when is the carnival? Hale Village is the one just within stones throw from JLA (John Lennon Airport)?


    I know their used to be many carnvials in many Liverpool towns and villages but these seem to have died off in recient years so great to see that yours is still alive.

    John Lennon Airport, really cool, never heard of that. (don't get out much) :-o

    Yeah, Liverpool Airport was renamed many years back to John Lennon Airport as the fab four did many an appearence at the airport during their career (used to be named as Speke Airport), not the largest airport in the UK by a longshot but its ok.... me flying out of it to Belfast next week!

    Hi Halo, Yes my Hale is the one a couple of miles from Liverpool airport, Our Carnival was on Saturday the 13th of June. Our Lord Mayor opened the Carnival, Tractors, Tug-A-War, Rose Queen, Parade through the village, It was a really nice day, the weather was beautiful. I haven't checked our village web site yet but it should all be on there, at the moment or at the very latest on Monday,

    Really glad to know that carnivals like yours are still alive, yeah weather was really good yesterday, so glad all went well on the day.

    The company I work for was working at a University around here about 10 years ago, and we were walking through the dorms. I noticed one of the rooms had trimmed the top of their wall with CD's the whole way around. They were also the AOL CD's. I thought it looked cool.. Probably even better with the light on at night.
