I have a map loaded into the program at runtime. I have little icons on the map and i have little gifs icons that I want to generate overtop of the icon when the mouse moves over top of it. I am using the x, y coordinates and I can get an event to run when the cursor moves over top of the icon but I dont no how to load an image and place it over the old icon

make a new winform picturebox control, obviously loading in the image file that you want to display into the image property of that control, and then just adjust the position of that picture box as you move the mouse.
