C:SS FPS problems

Hey, first off I'll post my system specs
Pentium 4 3.0ghz
1gb of ram
radeon 9550 256mb gfx card

I used to play css on high all the time with no lag problems at all, but I got my account hacked, so I stopped playing for a few months. I use a mates account now and since ive started playing I get on a server and after 30 seconds or so of game play my fps drops from 60 to 20, and can go down to 10 when im fighting someone. Ive tried putting my gfx on med-low and I get the same problem.

My games on 800x600, ive tried other resolutions which stay at a constant 10 fps :\. Ive downloaded the latest drivers from ati and I still have the same problem, its driving me nuts getting owned on every server I go on :'(

Please somebody help if you need any more info post here and I'll add it.

Maybe your card is going bad. Any artifacts? Has your internet connection changed?

 

Nah, nothings changed. Ive tried it with call of duty 2 and I had similar problems although not as bad (still veeerry laggy when get into shooting) but maybe thats because its an easier game to run.

 

Have updated drivers recently? Had a problem similiar. It got prgressivly worse till no graphics. Updated drivers and voila. just my .02 worth

 

Yeah I have, but I had the same problem with the old drivers, and ive noticed I get the same problem on call of duty 2...
