    Hi,
I am trying to find out why my D drive is not recognizing my internet connection (cable) or even a moden. I just recently installed XP pro in this drive while I have XP HOME on the C drive. It is recognized on my C drive and is working just fine. I am using windows XP pro on D. I need to use my D drive because it is MUCH larger than my C and my C is full.

    Can anyone help me please?

Check your firewall to see that it isn't blocking your connection.

Make sure in network connections that you have a local area network connection which if you dont indicates you havent got the right or any network drivers installed.

no its not weird, you didn't install any drivers for your network card, someone better able to look up drivers will have to led you through collecting your right drivers for the card.

Go to the C: drive, collect the drivers put them on a flash drive then fire up D:, open Device Manager, click on Network adapters and install the drivers.

You haven't told us anything about your computer other than C; has XP Home and D: has XP Pro, so no one has a clue what drivers are needed.
