Cable prices keep climbing in my area, I have a bundle, phone, tv and internet. I am looking for ways to reduce my costs, Vonage sounds good along with satellite for tv and the net. Would really like feed back on others experiences.

If your happy with the service of your current provider I would phone them and threaten to leave unless they reduce the cost or match a cheaper deal you've seen somewhere else,I live in the UK so I can't recommend a specific provider but I do know they are very malleable when it comes to price, they have very specific instructions keep the customer with them paying the monthly fee.

I've done this 5-6 times now, every time I see a better deal I phone and complain and every time they have matched the deal from the other providers,I've done this with AOL,O2,Bethere,Sky,virgin media,BT ect."none of which are any help to you'" Its much easier than going through the rigmarole of switching.

Its better if you arm yourself before the call with deals from other providers, the best thing to use in the barter is something they cannot provide you, faster speed, more channels ect.ect. Valid complaints are also good,if they know of problem with their service and they know you know there's very little they can say or do other than to offer you a cheaper deal not to leave them, reviews of your provider are good places to look for ammo.

Well good look anyway,I hope you get or find a better deal.

Have you checked with a local telecom? My neighbor has the same problem as you but only has cable TV and net. Our local telecom offers a bundle of net(adsl 15Mb/s) phone and satellite for a lifetime price that is lower than what the neighbor pays.

Along the lines of what Rikky said, you could tell them you're thinking of satellite because you can get more HD channels. Satellite would be my last choice for high speed internet though.
