call of duty problem

    I installed the 1.7 patch and it says server is a different version or download the patch on all server lists in multiplayer any help thanks

    Hi

    Some servers or the hosts of those servers may not have patched upto 1.7 on the server, you'd need to have the other patches installed too, try updating steam too.

    Did you have any patches installed before? off hand more playing if its and I'm guessing by the patch version you have CoD4 then many are on patch 1.6 as it seems to have more servers available.


    But as burrell mentions above more info will help.

    Ok my OS version is Xp all updates applied the game is COD 5 i think world at war i just got it and installed then i went patch hunting got all the patches from gamershell.com 1.1-1.7 and got the same message on the server list install patch/server is a different version why dont these games update themselves lol thank you so much for your time as i am new to the IT game and i guess this is valuable expierence

    windows has detected that you already have patch 1.7 installed

    ok i got this comrade manager from fileplanet and it says all my games are up to date thanks agian still no miltiplayer

    what does it say when you try to play multiplayer?

    Maybe take a screenshot for us?
