love COD 1-4. Picked up expandsion set at used book store. unopend and has code. works. problem how can we skip the part where we must have the disc in to play. some times i like to listen to music when I am shooting the bad guys. I am sre there are many ways around this would like to just change the dll file or the exe file so that I don't have to run the drive for the game. any helpfull idea.

 

www.pandora.com... all the music you want, and will not require you to put a CD in the drive to listen

I don't want to join any more of anything. Just want to be able to remove the load cd requirement for games.

 

You don't need to join Pandora to listen, or any other streaming radio station for that matter. If you're after the ability to listen to music, there are tons of ways to do it. If you're after the ability to play the game without the disc in the drive... well, the need to have the disc in is a safety feature to make piracy a bit harder. So you may have to live with that.

 

Look go to www.gamecopyworld.com and do a search for CoDUO and download a no cd exe for your version of the game. Now you don't need the CD. And for all naysayers from what I understand it is only illegal if you don't own a legal hard copy of the game.

 

My personal opinion is that once I have paid for the game I should be allowed to use it however I wish, as long as I don't give it out for free or use ti to make money.

I know that there are disagreements in that area, and out of courtesy for the MG owners I won't discuss my personal opinions any further.

That said, you're right. It's not illegal if you are using this to download a copy of your legally purchased game. The moment you download anything else though, you're a software pirate.
