Calling all exchange 2000 Experts

I have a user whos mailbox is very corrupt and she can not save her tasks as well as a few other features, after much testing and research, the only answer I can find it to export out the current mailbox, destro the mailbox on the server, recreate the mailbox and reimport back in the data. I was just wondering if any of you knew of a tool that could bypass this and just repair the mailbox.

Nice information, but not quite. Thanks Kodo. If anybody else has an idea, I could really use it. If not I will go with my last resort.
