Got my approval notice today for Beta testing OneCare. The install process went smoothly. One thing I did notice was when deleting emails from my inbox, that there was a significant lag, before the email was deleted. I'm using Thunderbird 1.0.6. Anyone else notice this behavior.

I installed this awhile back (2 weeks ago). Not a bad product. I need to run a virtual installation to see how well it works.

I installed the program on my work computer, P2 400 with 320 megs or ram, runnning XP pro sp2, tweaked.

It ran fine at work for about a week, then started crashing. Unfortunately, at the time of the continuous program crash, I've been way to busy to troubleshoot the cause.

    Your thoughts on this app?

So far, it looks to be a pretty decent application. I have yet to run the backup option, will do that this weekend. The View or Change Setting interface could use some work, can't really configure the AV scanner, and the Firewall interface looks too much like the Windows Firewall. No Logs this does log activity doesn't it, if so were are the logs?

    Re: logging

Nope, no such directory. The information that is contained in a Firewall log should be readily available from the Firewall Interface. One should not have to go digging through the hard drive to find an activity/intrusion log.

    Re: logging

 ur so right & after i posted that went digging & could find no such folder either. so created a log & found it under C:\Documents and Settings\your computers name\Application Data\Microsoft\Microsoft WindowsOneCare Live\SupportLog.html
this is possibly a bug to report? hmmm!

I found the log, but it still doesn't show the kind of activity a firewall log should be reporting, specifically looking for intrusion reporting; IP, DNS, PORT, Protocol that type of stuff. As the log is now it isn't real useful to security types.
