Camstudio Is Just About Perfect, But For Odd Bacground Noise

The audio is so nice and clear, and doesn't break up like the flashback express I tried first today. But I do have some squeaking going on in the background. It is an issue since I plan to use these videos on my website, and would like them to be a "clean" as possible.

Can someone help me with this issue? I did some reading and I think that the noises are coming from the laptop even though I don't hear them, only when I play the video back. I use the option "record audio from microphone". I haven't tried it another way yet. I have the 2.7 version, w/ r316 build that I downloaded from MG.

Thank you in advance for any help. If someone would like, I could take a small clip "video" and post it to show you the exact sound I'm getting, if that would help.

PS it's otherwise totally quiet in my apartment, no tv, or anything else that I can think of, that would cause this bg noise.

It's a microphone built into the laptop case?

Yes, included when I bought the laptop. I was pretty sure that's why the sounds are coming from inside. They are just barely loud enough to hear, and I don't think the quality will be good enough to use the camstudio, although I realize it's not the CS. Do you know of a fix by chance? I know it's freeware so I can't expect perfection, just hoping since it had the best as far as audio (minus the little squeaky).

Thanks for answering the post. I'll be here for a bit, then back after noon in case you post again;)

Can you get access to an external microphone? There is a 3.5mm microphone input next to the headphone output plug. A USB microphone would work also.

Yes, I would have to buy one, but I can use either USB or the Mic slot/hole. I will try just a couple more times to make sure that the squeaky is still there, then I'll try a mic with camstudio. I'd say my laptop mic is pretty good to pick up a noise I can't hear at all coming from my laptop. It could even be picking up my mouse I suppose.

Thank you for your help @Just Playin. I'm not going to mess with it anymore today since I spent almost all yesterday trying to get one, silly video made, LOL!! thanks again:)
