    Fellow Geeks,
I've heard somewhere that other then 802.11g etc technology (which requires a nearby "hotspot"), a laptop can use a special NIC that uses Cell / Satelite technology to connect to the web - anywhere (well, anywhere a cell phone can receive reception).
Does Verizon or Sprint sell these and offer these accounts?
    Thanks,
    DCO

Another option: Sprint offers data cables for their phones. It connects the cell via USB to the computer and allows the computer to dialup through the phone.

there's also a way to connect your phone to your pc and use the internet on your cell phone as internet on your pc. as far as the card card goes though, pretty much every cell company anymore is offering the broadband cards.
