Can anybody suggest a good alarm clock program?

Hey Guys,

I'm starting back at uni soon and well i can be a rather heavy sleeper... Anyhow as my normal radio alarm clock tends to fail me on ocation i was wondering if anybody konws a good alarm clock program that i can set to make a sound/play a sound file at a certain time?

You need one of these timers for your real radio instead. A cheap small device. You will wake up when your loudspeakers kick in full volume.

 

People also use such timers to turn the lights on and of when they are away on travel. Thieves are tricked into believing that someone's home. So the timer will serve you well even when you're not there. It can time any electrical apparatus and start it/turn it of according to the settings you make.

 

that is indeed an option i'll have to consider, I have small radio/stero thats a lot louder than my radio alarm clock so maybe full volume static on that would wake me up . Mind you my dads method this morning was to take a mallet to the cieling in the cellar right under my room... that did the trick but i doubt i could replicate it easily

If your PC is nearby and the speakers are loud this one makes a rather annoying sound.

I like Banshee Screamer Alarm (freeware) myself, as it uses itself to play MP3 files (instead of launching WMP or another external player), has a good snooze function, etc.
