    Hi

What Windows version are you using? (just a bit of background info)

But can you post a list of what startups you have, so that we can advise whats needed or not?

If you have CCleaner installed its a quick simple way to list them all and take a screenshot of them to show us, some guides to helo you achieve this Taking Screenshots HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post and in CCleaner the menu you need is Tools > Startup

note: dont use msconfig or CCleaner to manage the startups, but knowing what Windows version you have will allow us to show you the best option to manage these.

I'm trying to attach a screenshot but it is saying that the file is too big to attach.

    Hi

Maybe best to crop the pic a bit and only have the relevent list of startups as the image, then save it as Jpeg (smaller file format) or use an image host like http://imageshack.us/ and paste the link into your post.

    Hi

Sadly the image is a bit too small to read, try this open CCleaner and goto the Startup list, then hit PrtScn on your keyboard, then open MS Paint and click Edit > Paste then crop the image, click File Save and make sure File Type is Jpeg and save to desktop, the upload to Imageshack and once uploaded choose the Thumbnail for Forums 1 link.

    Hi

    Which Windows version you using?

If XP then two good options to manage Startups are StartupCPL or the Built in Windows Defender.

StartupCPL, all you do is untick the files in the RUN Hives from within the application, this prevents them from starting up, but you can always retick them to activate them again,

Defender, you open Defender and click Tools > Software Explorer > Choose Catagory Startups and press the option for "Show for all users" as if you dont some applications on a multi user PC wont allow you to disable them. Then all you do is to highlight the Startup application and choose Disable.

From your list ones that are not really needed at Startup are:

MSMSGS ~ Messenger the chat app, no need for it to start as you can start it when you want tom can also from Messengers Tools > Options > Signin menu untick the Automatic sign in options.

Yahoo Pager! ~ also not really needed to boot with PC if you dont use it right away, can start it when you want.

HP Software Update ~ Updaters take up resourses and dont depending on the age of your PC actually update much, only updaters you need to leave are Antivirus applications etc.

Quicktime Task ~ Apples Quicktime, not needed.

SunJavaUpdateSched ~ Sun Java Runtime updater, again not needed.

iTunes Helper ~ this one I always remove, never seen the point of it and I have an iPhone and iPod Touch and never caused them issues in working with iTunes (upto you this one, but for me its not needed)

Microsoft Office.lnk ~ Not one I keep peronally either but read this and see if its of value to you http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290144

Rest I would leave, but these above ones will slim your startups a little, do note that when you update iTunes Quciktime and iTunes helper will be replaced as will Java Updater.
