can anyone help?

i have been burning and backing dvds up for 2 years now and have had very few bad burns now all of a sudden i am getting them on not only dvd's but everyday cd's too?what is wrong all of a sudden?here is the log from my last dvd can anyone tell me what might be going on?i did recently do a einstall of my os and all programs but nothing new has been added or deleted just cleaning house?

ok i read the info you provided and seems to make since what i am not understanding is why it would start giveing me that error after so long of working fine?also my board has 2 IDE cables my hard drive is on the 1st one and has a Ide plug with a spot for a missing pin and will not work to try and get the 2 drives i have on seperate IDE cables?I am very frustaraighted with this issue is getting in over my head but want to fix it my self after all thats how you learn right?if you can point me to some good sites for information on this subjaect would be happy to bone up on it and thank you in advance for any help. all i want is for this thing to star working again?

The error can happen regardless how long it's been working.

Media, firmware, and cables can all degrade.


First thing I would do is try another brand of CD/DVD. That's usually the most common culprit.

Failing that, try the other suggestions outlined.
