Can both run at same time

I've done a reformat and a reinstall of XP. I had Microsoft Essentials for my anti virus program and Comodo Boclean as an anti malware program. I was trying to install Bo clean and it said it was discontinued and was part of Comodo Security now. This is an anti virus-anti malware program combined. I would imagine that running both Essentials and Bo Clean wouldn't be good, which one is the better?

 

I was running Essentials and had Comodo firewall and also MBAM. So I guess the answer is to dump Comodo security? I'm also running Spybot but just have it on my desktop instead of my startup bar (task bar?). Spybot takes so long to load...does it have real time protection or can you just use to scan every now and then and not have to have it on startup?

 

Thanks TimW. I'd already disabled teatimer in the startup menu but that caused spybot's icon to not show up either. I haven't went to the link yet and will do so and get back to you.

 

I removed Comodo security and am running Essentials with Comodo firewall. I also have MAMB but it doesn't show up in the task bar on startup. Sptbot doesn't either.

 

Almost everyone talks about not using SpyBots teatimer, and I always ask for specifics as to why. The broad answer that it messes with stuff doesn't work for me.

I have always used it, and with AVG and Windows firewall, and have never had any issues.
