Can connect to internet only after restore

    My wife has a Toshiba Satellite(2 yr old), and it works great after she's connected to internet. That's the problem. It'll only connect after doing a restore. We've done this 3 times, and I figured I'd seek some advice on this one.
    I'm using an Embarq DSL Modem/Router. The little icon at the bottom of the page says she's connected to the wireless. The wireless icon says "a network cable is unplugged". It's not. What else do I need to try?
