Can cursors be customized?

I'd like to have a cursor with either a screen-sized crosshairs or a simple full screen height vertical line incorporated. The purpose is to be able to read graphs charts better.

Does anyone know if custom cursors can be downloaded from anywhere or created somehow?

 

Most windows OS's offer choices for setting your mouse cursor. You can browse the defaults by doing the following:

1. Open 'Control Panel'
2. In 'Control Panel' double-click the 'Mouse' icon.
3. On the 'Mouse Properties' dialog, select the 'Pointers' tab

Here, you can select the different types of cursors you use currently, and replace them with any Windows keeps by default.

Thanks for those - however although they do have crosshairs they're too small. I need one that will span the whole screen.

 

To change the size of the command prompt cursor

1. Open the command prompt window.
2. Right-click the title bar and do one of the following:
   • To change this setting for all command prompt windows, click Defaults.
   • To change this setting for the current command prompt window only, click Properties.
3. On the Options tab, under Cursor size, specify a cursor size.

• To open a command prompt, click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command Prompt.
