Can I Combine Laptops (Drive from 1 into another?)

    Hi

    Yes you can create a working laptop with the HDD, but it would need to be of the same connector type as in IDE or SATA and yes it would really need a new re-install of Windows as the drivers are likely to all be different, however wouldnt hurt to try.

    May need to then downlaod and install the driver for your model Dell onto the re-install of Windows and as HDDs are not machine specific, once Windows and Drivers are installed you should be ok.

    I do hope that you have backups of any important files and docs, images etc that where on that drive in the failed laptop.
