Your computer has ghosts....look at the white light!

Anyway...yep, the Dell Reinstallation CD should be a full version of Windows XP.

Boot off of it, try to install. If it gives you the option to do a repair, press 'Esc' and nuke the partition, rebuild it, then format.

Make sure you have your product key handy.

No I am not sure. I already reinstalled once but after the last set of win updates I started getting that blue screen when I shut down and even when i try to restart.
I dont understand what it is asking me to do. My head goes blank when I read it. (blank all the time) :D

I guess I didnt word it right .
It doesnt reboot even if i hit restart.
It goes to that blue screen and stays.
And when I turn it off using the start button to it goes to the blue screen.
Ctrl alt del doesnt do anything then.

    I know...

But, you aren't rebooting becauses chances are you have automatic restart turned off.

You see, incompatible Roxio software causes the system to reboot on restart or shutdown.

If you turn off auto restart, then you get the Stop 0xa on shutdown or reboot.

Running Roxio update now and automatic restart turned on.
Will let you know how it goes shortly :)

No problem. Figured it would be easier to fix it than to have to reinstall all your stuff after formatting :)
