My free trial of Norton is just about up. I'm too poor to buy right now. Can I install the AVG or Avast free versions before I uninstall the Norton?

You can not properly run any 2 anti virus programs together. Download it, remove Nortons, install AVG. If your uncomfortable disconnect from the net, but your failry safe for that short amount of time without antivirus, just keep your web browser and email closed. Heck, close anything not needed while uninstalling and installing the new AV. I think AVG will suprise you at its quality :)

Thanks. I didn't mean to imply that free meant inadequate. Only that poor does! I do like that AVG. I downloaded it to a few other peoples unprotected pc's. Time to do the deed here.
