Can I download IE 6?

I reformated my computer after ME froze up on me and would not even boot into safe mode. Impossible to re-install ME because son lost the disk last year. = ( Am now using 98 SE again with (ugh) IE 5!!!!
It is impossible to do anything with this of course and am wanting to download IE 6 but not sure where/how.
I did a search and found some mirror sites but am confused concerning reliability and also wonder about the updates, but assume they aren't available. Okay, I'm about to start ramblin'.
Any help would sure be appreciated.

What type of PC (make/model) are you running?

You may be able to get XP recovery discs from your manufacturer dirt cheap.

 

There maybe old versions of other programs you are after.
Try http://www.oldversion.com
They have 2836 versions of 190 programs on their site.
For example, they have 11 versions of IE, going back to v1.0

Sorry so slow getting back with a thank you, mekanic, but when I posted I couldn't get the reply button to work, error messages and page shut down.

I got IE 6 down-loaded finally from the link you provided and want to thank-you.

Also, I have an HP Pavilion, 63 OMB RAM, Model-8650C and "OLD".

 

I really like the Old Version.com site Bazza but couldn't get the download to work. I'm not real computer savy but I tried three times.

I bet I need to update my drivers also.....
One I tried that said for ALL Windows at the end told me I needed XP.
