Can I get a DX6 game workingw ith DX9?

    I figured it would work... but I guess it dosen't. Keeps telling me I need to get DX 6 installed, and I don't know if XP will run with DX 6. Even if it does, it would be more trouble than its worth. Is there any way I can do this? It's the Star Wars: Rogue Squadron demo BTW. I beleive I got it from a link I followed from Lucus Arts website, but I forgot where exaclty. Any help would be appreciated!
    BTW, I have DX 9.0c to be exact, and a Geforce4 440 MX incase anyone needs to know that.

    Nevermind guys... I found out theres an executable in the program folder that opens the game directly, and it works. But it keeps crashing just as the menue is about to come up.. I think its the menue.... darn. I guess some more reading is in order!
