Can I go Wireless Without Broadband?

I have a Belkin Wireless Router/Gateway(F5D7230-4) for my desktop pc (win 2k, p4, 512ram, 120GB, 56k modem, 10/100 network) and a wireless card for my laptop (win98, p2,256ram).

Can I set up this router to share files, printers, and internet connection with my Win 98 laptop without a Broadband connection??
(it doesnt seem impressed that theres no broadband and skips most of the installation process then doesnt appear in my Device Manager afterwards)

 

You can use the Router as an Access point with a switch.

Connect it through regular port to the computers NIC disable the DHCP, and change the Router’s IP to an IP that can work with Windows ICS.

This was written for another purpose but the principles are the same.
