can I infect my work pc with a virus if I have one and hook up to it?

    Sorry I didn't know where to ask this.

    I connect to my work PC using gotomypc.com. If my home machine has a virus of somesort..could I infect the machine at work..or vise versa?

    I'm not aware of any virus that is capable of infecting a machine via a remote session.

    however, if you have a file one pc that is infected and if GOTOMYPC allows file transfers, and you transfer that file, then that will infect it.

    Also, if you're using a VPN connection, if a virus exploits a network share problem you could infect it.

    But AFAIK GoToMyPC doesn't use VPN.
