can i install dvd drive from old pc to new pc running vista

    hi, just got new dell 530i running vista. came with one dvd drive. can i take dvd drive from old pc which runs xp and install to new pc? im lost when it comes to drivers, software to run the drive...etc help

    Yup, providing you have an available IDE/sata port for the new DVD drive. There shouldn't be any drivers/software to install as the majority of optical drives are Plug n Play :)
