Can i just say

I want to take the time to thank those members of this site Major Geeks, for the help and advice i have recieved in the past (joined last November).To all those out there who have contributed and learnt same as i have.I feel great when i can pass on things i have learnt from this site,and helped others with computor problems.I have learnt so much since being a member and hope in the future i can contribute as much as some of you guys/gals in the future.
Just wanted to express my gratitude,and thank you for your help.
There,ive said it and if i get the creep of the week award so what.All the best out there and thanks again. Best site on the web in my opinion.

 

Agree totally with Wild. It is really helpful and informative to those of us who don't reside in the USA.. Particularly as I am usually on the net before businesses and support staff wake up in the morning, local time. Baz

Ha Ha, even though I'm now trying to learn about all the Linux stuff, I still come back here even though it is mostly Windows stuff because the people here are so righteous.

I would have never as a child thought that I could have such ready "discourse" with people from other countries as I do today.

So happy that I have a computering machine and have found this site!

For what it's worth, I jot down the thread number, a brief description of the post , the date I come across it and the OS platform of any post that interests me in MG. Later I load them into a simple Excel simple. Never know when the info might come in handy.

357 entries so far. With any speadsheet you can sort to any of these fields. Say I have a problem with W98, a quick sort on W98 OS gets all my W98 stuff ready for review. Baz

That almost begs the question: Would it be too far fetched to think of a hard copy reference book being published by all of these threads?
A compendium of sorts.....

Thinking further, a searchable database on MG would be better for everyone, cheaper and easier for us to access. Maybe accessable only to members to encourage guests to register. Baz
