I have Auto Cad loaded on my old machine and I was wondering , 'not that I would of course', is there a way to copy the program from my old Dell to a CD? Could I move the program from my old Dell with XP's Transfer Wizard? ( I think that's the name), or do I need fo find the Auto Cad CD?

    Thanks,

You need to find the cd

When you install a program that program sets files all over the place including crucial entries in the registry. I don't think there is a way to do what you are asking.

the original program has instructions on how to install its files and where to install them and also what changes to make in the registry to tell windows how the program works.

    undoing that would be impossible.

    Thanks

That's kinda of what I thought. I know where the CD is, just don't want to go get it but I will.
