Here's my system: XPS710 core 2 duo (6320) w/ 1.86ghz clocks, 2gigs of RAM, Nvidia 8600GTS 256mb video card, Sigmatel HD on-board sound card (yeah go ahead and laugh, I hate myself for the decision anyways :p. I just didn't know on-board meant: GIMME CPU TIME!!!), and Windows Vista 32bit (Home Premium).

OK, question time: Would it be possible to get this thing to get 2.0 ghz on the cores without spending extra on a cooling system? And if so, any advice, elaberation, exc. would be nice (especially on OC software). I just want a few extra frames on some good games I have.

Also, I already know you can OC this system (option in the BIOS *confirmed it myself*).

you should be able to get that thing to near 3ghz if you have all the right components... on STOCK-AIR!

2.0ghz is a drop in the bucket compared to the 3.0ghz i've seen reported consistently on multiple forums.
