To explain a little better, is it possible to take an old-skool game, eg; Mario Bros (for the PC) and "re-skin" [if that's the right terminology] the game so it is no longer mario hopping up and down but say Spongebob for example, and the same for the baddies and the scenery? it doesnt need to be a masterpiece, just recognisable.

I guess more to the point my question is... is it easy to do such a thing (as i know it is possible) but could a rank noob (when it comes to coding) do, or learn to do such a thing before christmas? (25th Dec 2009).

If i need to explain anything further just ask :)

EDIT: Just to explain a bit further, my lil girl (nearly 5) is getting her first laptop/computer for christmas, and i've just had the rather cool idea of "making" her a game to go with it.
