Hi, my brother's computer stopped saving yesterday. Everywhere he tried to save wouldn't let him, just said the location was full when it wasn't. Anyway he had written a long essay and hadn't saved before this. After trying loads of things, I decided to shut off the computer manually and hope that Word would use its recover feature. Well it didn't, but I looked in the system Temp folder and there is a file called ~WRF0005.tmp. Looking on Google I'm pretty sure this is the file, its 98MB and was created yesterday at the about the time the computer crashed. I tried to open it in notepad but it just gave a load of code. I tried to rename it .doc, still a load of code. I tried the recover text from any file *.* from the open menu in word, STILL JUST CODE!!! This file must be the one, it contained images and if the .tmp is 98MB it surely must have some more information in other than just page after page of code (there are so many pages word has givern up counting! it just says ****/**** where it normally shows the page numbers!). What does this code mean? Word, what does it all mean?!?
Is there anyway to make Word open this file? I have the latest version of Office 2003, the file was written on Office 2000.

An example of the jibberish Word is spurting at me:
    [E[•[å\5\†\Ö]']x]É^

    {c{Â|!|?|á}A}¡~
    Adobe Photoshop
    Adobe Photoshop
    Adobe Photoshop CS
    Adobe Photoshop CS
    Adobe Photoshop CS Windows

(That code is from the 'recover text from any file' feature, opening the file normally gives different, equally jibberish, code)

Never ending pages of this! It's driving me mad!
    Please Help!

i should imagen that the code represents one/more of the images that was in a .doc file ,and its a .txt files way of reproducing it.

try cutting the .tmp file to the desktop and opening it
