Can I run ATI RADEON HD 4890 with ATX-300-12Z Bestec power supply?:confused

 

Unless you want a reason to buy a new computer I suggest you replace the Bestec power supply ASAP !
Bestec power supplies are best know for suddenly failing & frying the motherboard.
The power supply still appears to work though.
Emachine computers come with a Bestec power supply & that is exactly what has given emachine a bad name.

It would probably be a hack of a lot better then what came in your HP.

Hp uses a lot of "rebranded" Bestec power supplies.

On the HP power supply label there should be a UR .
Right under the UR will be a code [Exaple: "E27532" ]
If you go to the UL look up page ,

You can find out who really made that "HP" power supply.

BTW, That works for any electronic item with the UR on the label .

 

To be honest, you are asking about power supplies I've never heatd of.
I stick to the known brands,
Antec,OCZ,Silverstone,etc.

If you go here you will see the [Akasa] PaxPower is rated as Tier 3 which makes it pretty decent.
