Can i transfer MS Word from Vista to 7?

    Do i have to buy a whole new copy of MS Word or is there a way to transfer my purchase from vista to 7

    I already used all the max number of times to use the product code for my MS Word so i cant reinstall the thing all over again so is there a way to transfer it from vista to 7?

    I've not tried it myself, but I would think you are within the license if you first uninstall it from Vista before installing it in 7. If there is a problem at that point you could call MS, they are usually pretty reasonable about this sort of thing.

    Tried it and yes so long as you uninstall it from a previous Windows install first, or you are upgrading in place Windows 7 from Vista you are fine, may on the rare occasions need to do a phone activation as mentioned by Earthling (only due to the activation server not registering your previous install is uninstalled)

    Do uninstall Office first if doing a clean install from Vista to Windows 7, so you dont accidently go over the permitted install number for your version of office.
