Can I update my CPU to a faster Pentium III?
Now I am using a 450MHz Pentium III cpu on Intel SE440BX2 Mobo.
What do I need to do?
    Do I need another fan?
Do I need to flash the BIOS?
    Thank You

    From what this says:
    http://support.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/SE440BX2/sb/CS-013634.htm

you can go up to 850MHz. I don't know about the p3 (but i think it's the same as the p4), it will come with an Intel approved HS/F, so you'll be alright there. I think you shouldn't need to flash the BIOS to get it working, but make sure the right one is recognised. Also, if you have the money, I'd just upgrade the whole mobo / cpu to a p4 or amd... the gain you'll get from 450MHz to 850MHz sounds like alot, but in reality, it won't get you much in the way of raw power, not these days.

edit: i forgot to mention, you don't need to flash your bios as long as it's version p14 or later. if lower, yeah, you do.
