can i use Blackice with a third party firewall?

hi guys i currently use kerioPF, bitdefender standard 9 & spysweeper 5. would it be safe to add blackice pc protection to my arsenal for added intrusion detection. please advise.

thanks itguy. i was hoping for a more detailed answer . the last thing i want is BSOD or unecessary crashes and conficts. is there anything important i need to be aware of before installing blackice alongside my firewall? any help will be appreciated

 

Isn't BlackIce another firewall? Running two firewalls at the same time will cause conflicts.

Well it depends on what aspect or app of BlackIce you want to use are you refering to their (BETA) rootkit reveler or some other app??????

There is a time where you can run many "security" based apps and significantly impair system memory, slow down your whole PC and have too many apps doing the same task, no point being overly-safe if your system runs like a snail. You need to understand what each app is doing and the purpose off it. I maintain optimum security but retain as much memory as possible. I have the best within each feild that have the lowest memory footprint.
