    I have a Sony PCVW600G, which comes with a DVD+-RW drive.

I'm trying to backup my files and I just bought a pack of DVD+R's, but it doesn't recognize them and i can't burn anything onto them. Am I not allowed to use DVD+R's with this drive, or is something wrong with the DVD?

Use Nero InfoTool to determine exactly what kinds of media your burner can use.
